Acclaimed U.K. alternative pop duo Life of Dillon (Joe Femi and David Keiffer) have released their new single, “American Girl.” The track is currently available for purchase and streaming at all DSPs via Epic Records/Disruptor Records. Get the song HERE.
The new song emerges as a playful burst of pop bliss, continuing to establish the breakout duo as refreshing difference-makers in the realm of hybrid pop. Known for their multi-cultural blend of acoustically-flecked rhythms and instantly identifiable hooks, “American Girl” weaves Latin-tinged guitar over sparkling finger snaps and taut percussion in a catchy devotional pledge to an American girl who just may be the remedy to an expiring visa. The song is underscored by their upbeat electronic flourishes and follows their previously released single “Only Fools Fall In Love,” which has racked up over 1.9 million streams thus far.
The innovative pair have been delivering new music throughout the summer that captures their shared adventurism and the high musical bar they have set for themselves. Says David: “We’re being more vulnerable, honest and true to ourselves in our songs and hope fans can relate to the different situations we’ve been through.”
Friends, collaborators, and musical confidantes, Joe Femi and David Keiffer have racked up tens of millions of streams since the release of their debut EP, 2015’s Overload. Mixing together sounds from an array of genres from around the world—Femi’s Brazilian-Nigerian background heavily influences their newest material—the band has taken their infectious music to television shows like The Late Late Show With James Corden, garnered critical acclaim from the likes of Teen Vogue, Idolator, BlackBook, Dancing Astronaut and more. Recently relocating from the U.K. to Los Angeles, the duo has also toured North America with the likes of Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth, with plans to hit the road later this year behind their new music.
