Hungry No More – Mudcrutch – Sure the harp is nice and the intro a dream but nothing works once the band kicks in, what a plodder – C
Here Now – Montana Of 300 – A little ordinary after what had come before – C+
Hear Me Now – Havoc, The Alchemist – The Prince quote is either opportunistic or lucky – B+
Enter Da Ninja – Die Antwoord – It is like being attacked by rejects from Fairyland – C
The Lost Tribe Of Wicklow Mountains – Christy Moore – Ugh, spoken word outro and a dumb one at that. Sing for fuck’s sake you weirdo – C
Joe Goes To School – Car Seat Headrest – When I think I overestimated the album, I point to this dreary crap, and not “Just Hat I Needed (Not Just What I Needed” where they couldn’t get the rights – C+
Thinkin’ Bout You – Ariana Grande – The best song on the album is an over produced ballad, that if they’d calmed down might have been very good and still stands up as a song not just a groove – B
Slow – 18+ – You know this is the one, right? It will make it into my best of 2016… the album, not the song – B+
