Lady Gaga seems to be everywhere lately, at a Father John Misty show, on stage with Tame Impala at the FYF fest, or on stage with Tony Bennett in New York. She is omnipresent and she recruited the entire music business for her last album, she should get a restraining order or something, she is out of control.
And now, there are reports she bought Frank Zappa’s historic house in the Hollywood Hills! The propriety, where Zappa lived from 1968 until his death in 1993 and where he recorded a lot of his work, had been put on the market for $5,495,000 by Zappa’s children since June. It’s a large place with its 6,700 to 8,000 square-foot (depending on the sources!), 7 bedrooms, 6 baths, 2 guest cottages, a swimming pool, tennis court, and it also has its own recording studio, the so-called ‘Utility Muffin Research Kitchen’, as well as a Vault beneath the house, where Zappa stored unreleased recordings and videos.
Furthermore, the listing describes the house with ‘many one-of-a-kind embellishments, such as an elaborate dragon mural in the dining room and porthole windows and doors salvaged from vintage submarines.’
This house has a lot of history as it is close to the cottage Joni Mitchell and Graham Nash occupied in the 70’s, and the house of the Mamas and the Papas’ Cass Eliott.
According to Variety, Lady Gaga bought the house for $5.25 million, and I wonder how many proprieties she needs in this neighborhood! She already purchased this amazing place for $23 million in Malibu in 2014, plus, she is also renting a duplex penthouse on Central Park South, that was formerly occupied by Tony Bennett and Liza Minnelli. May be Gaga wants to suck the spirit of all these talented people, may be she wants to suck all their talent, and she probably think she can inherit of Zappa’s crazy gift by habiting his house… I don’t see any other explanation.
