It’s such a busy week that I don’t know if I am gonna survive. I already have Television and Interpol in my schedule, but there are so many other shows happening that it’s insanity.

On Monday 25th, the happy Grouplove is at the new Moroccan Lounge, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are at the Hollywood Bowl, and Rakim is at the Regent with Mic Crenshaw. Residencies are going strong: Jesse Jo Stark is at the Echo with Night Talks, Whispertown, and Leeroy from the North, New Language are at the Satellite with Madus, Rosechild, and Spare Parts for Broken Hearts, Moons of Mars are at the Bootleg theater with Avant Rivers and Yacht Punk, The Entire Universe, C.G. Roxanne and The Nightmares, Crush, Shannon Lay are At Zebulon. And the Hi Hat hosts a suicide prevention benefit featuring Welfair, Twin Seas, Amindi K. Fro$t, Zuli, Katzu Oso

On Tuesday 26th, Paramore and Best Coast are at the Greek theater, Bleachers are at the Fonda theater with Tangerine, Mondo Cozmo are at the El Rey Theater with Flagship, Gov’t Mule are at the Wiltern. Jaws Of Love (ex Local Natives Kelcey Ayer) is doing his own thing at Amoeba, Neon Trees have a sold out show at the Troubadour with I Don’t Know How but They Found Me, Vamps are at the Roxy with Black Map, and Robyn Hitchcock is at the Grammy Museum. But there is more, Hooveriii, Rearranged Face, Healing Gems are at Zebulon, Jail Weddings are back with a show at the Echo with Fake News and Scott Yoder, The Bright Light Social Hour, SWIMM, Creature Canyon have a show at the Satellite, and the Hi Hat hosts a Planned Parenthood Benefit featuring Polartropica, Throwaway and Cousin Liar.

On Wednesday 27th, Bonobo is at the Greek theater with Bob Moses and Tourist, Alison Moyet is at the Fonda theater, Grizzly Bear are at the Moroccan Lounge (sold out show), Benjamin Booker is at the El Rey Theater with She Keeps Bees, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart are at the Teragram Ballroom with the Courtneys and the Prids, Joseph Arthur is at the Hotel café, Rodney Bingenheimer presents a special show at the Viper Room with Pom Poms, Woolly Bandits, Color TV, Weird radicals, Chris Stills and O’ Neill Hudson are at the Standard for Desert Nights, Facial has a record release party at the Echo with Kim and the Created, the Bomb and Flaural, and Midland have a sold out show at the Toubadour with Desure.

On Thursday 28th, Interpol are playing ‘Turn On The Bright Lights’ at the El Rey theater, Banks is at the Theater at Ace Hotel, Tom Jones is at the Greek Theater, Middle Kids are at the Teragram Ballroom with King Shelter, Sadgirl are at the Echo with French Vanilla and Brutus Viii, Public Service Broadcasting at the Troubadour with Street Joy, Pearl Charles is at the Bootleg with Cones and Raderson, Shilpa Ray has a record release party at the Satellite with Honus Honus and Mask Off, Kali Uchis is at the Fonda theater with Phony Ppl. And there is a #RADDNIGHTLIVE at the Hi Hat featuring Chris Pierce, Daisy, Francisco Fernandez and the Ferocious Few, Prism Tats.

On Friday 29th, the XX are at the Forum, The Shins are at the Greek theater with Foxygen and Day Wave, Banks is playing again at the Theater at Ace Hotel, Kali Uchis has a second show at the Fonda Theater, Moon Taxi are at the El Rey with Too Many Zooz, Television are at the Teragram Ballroom with Chris Stamey, Mura Masa is at the Wiltern, Ride is at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. But there is much more, Chelsea Wolfe will play in full daylight for once at Amoeba, Andrew W.K. is playing at the Regent with Prima Donna and Easy, Lauren Ruth Ward has a record release party at the Bootleg with Laura Jean Anderson and Vava, The Happy Hollows have their record release party at the Satellite with Post Life, The Pretty Flowers and Traps PS, Sextile are at the Resident with POW, Simon Doom, and hardcore Trapped Under Ice (and these guys are absolutely ferocious) has a early show at the Echoplex with GAG, Forced Order, Ingrown, Primitive Blast. Later the Echoplex will have its monthly Sex Cells dance party

On Saturday 30th, Interpol are playing their second show at Los Angeles State Historic Park with Deerhunter and Battles, Adam Ant is at the Greek with L7, Banks has a third night at the Theater at Ace Hotel, Amos Lee has an intimate show at the Cathedral Sanctuary at Immanuel Presbyterian, Chelsea Wolfe returns to her natural element, darkness, at the Regent Theater with Youth Code, Television have a second show at the Teragram Ballroom with Chris Stamey, Andy Mineo is at the Wiltern, Hellogoodbye are at the El Rey with Chris Farren & Family of Geniuses, Hot Water Music have a sold out show at the Echoplex with Dead to Me, Racquet Club, Haunted Summer, Avi Buffalo, Bodies of Water, and Livingmore are at The Hi Hat for a show presented by BuzzbandsLA, Company of Thieves are at the troubadour with Draemings and Psychic Love, the amazing Peaches will play at the Roxy with Zero DeZire. And it’s the first day of Music Tastes Good 2017 at Marina Green Park with tons of bands (Sleater Kinney and Ween are headlining)

On Sunday October 1st, Imagine Dragons are at the Hollywood Bowl, Nosaj Thing and Jacques Greene are at the Echoplex with Jim-E Stack, Robyn Hitchcock and Yo La Tengo perform Black Snake Diamond Role at the Regent, the Hi Hat has a secret special guest with Billy Changer, BOYO and Lily Waters, GHB are at the Roxy, With The Casualties and Spider are opening, the Egyptian theater has a screening of Phantom of the Paradise with Paul Williams Live! and Music Tastes Good 2017 will continue at Marina Green Park with Sleater-Kinney, Tune-Yards, Los Lobos, Dr. Octagon, Rhye, !!!, and many others.
