The Buttertones


There are so many shows this week, it is becoming overwhelming and two bands have have followed since their beginning are going in hight places. Starcrawler are doing their first Amoeba appearance and the Buttertones have two sold out shows at the Troubadour.

On Monday 8th, Lauren Ruth Ward starts her residency at the Echo with Liv Slingerland, YIP YOPS, Ramonda Hammer and Deanna Passarella, Bad in Bed has a Record Release Party at the Satellite with Unsound Sunday, Punch Punch Kick and New Media, Van William has a residency at the Moroccan Lounge with a Secret Special Guest and KERA, Jesse Kivel has a residency at the Bootleg with Ex-Poets and Sophia Knapp, Tomorrows Tulips are at Zebulon with Cherry Pumps.

On Tuesday 9th, Jukebox the Ghost has a sold out show at the Echo with Jupiter Winter, Ethan Gruska has a residency at the Bootleg with Christian Lee Hutson, there is a David Bowie Birthday Party at the Hi Hat with Scary Monsters, Iconique and LoveyDove.

On Wednesday 10th, Cheap Tissue are at the Echo with Death Hymn Number 9, Deth Crux and OGOD, Nortec Collective presents Bostich & Fussible and L.A. Drones at the Regent, The Tissues are at the Moroccan Lounge with Nightgown and Cheekface, Wilderado are at the Bootleg, Astronaut Samurais are at the Hi Hat with Kilo Tango, Hawiian T-Shirt and The Plastic Jewels

On Thursday 11th, Sløtface are at the Echo with The Pink Slips and Ever So Android, All Def LA is happening at the Regent with Lil Xan, Lil Skies, D Savage, $teven Cannon, SHORELINE MAFIA, The Herbert Bail Orchestra are at the Satellite with Edith Crash, Moonsville Collective and Andrew Sheppard, Luna are at the Moroccan Lounge with Big Mother Gig, Olivia Kaplan has an EP release at the Bootleg with Anna St. Louis and Gabriel Wax, So Many Wizards are at the Hi Hat with Dante Elephante and Ablebody, it’s Women of Rock Oral History Project is happening at Zebulon with a panel of discussion featuring Neon Music, Julie Cafritz, Patty Schemel, Alice Bag, Phranc, Brie (Howard) Darling, Alice de Buhr, Azalia Snail, Allison Wolfe, Michelle Gonzales, Cynthia Ross, Kat Arthur, Romance & Rebellion are at the Troubadour with The Fontaines, Flights Over Pheonix and Swerve and Starcrawler are at Amoeba.

On Friday 12th, K.FLAY is at the Fonda with Sir Sly, DEZZY HOLLOW is at the Roxy, Red Aunts are at the Echo with The Lamps and Des Roar, Destroyer is at The Regent Theater, Split Party are at the Satellite with Chris Whitehall (The Griswolds), MainMan and JOYEUR, Luna are at the Moroccan Lounge with Eleanor Friedberger, Emily Wells is at the Bootleg, Sextile are at the Hi Hat with Flat Worms and Warm Drag, The Buttertones have a sold out show at the Troubadour with Spendtime Palace and The Gems.

On Saturday 13th, SESHOLLOWATERBOYZ are at the Novo by Microsoft, The White Buffalo is at the Fonda Theater with Roadkill Ghost Choir, there is the 3rd Annual R&B Rewind Fest at the Microsoft Theater with Boyz II Men, Jodeci, SWV, Jagged Edge, Soul for Real, Night Talks are at the Echo with Madi Sipes and the Painted Blue and Colyer, Spencer Robinson & the Wolf Spiders are at The Love Song with Blackbird Days, Joe Henry is at Pico Union Project, Laura Jean Anderson is at the Hi Hat with Twolips, Scolex, Skeletal Remains, Morfin and Impure Consecration are at the Resident, American Culture are at Zebulon with Plague Survivor, The Buttertones play a second sold out show at the Troubadour with Tracy Bryant and Wild Wing.

On Sunday 14th, SHREDDERS (members of Doomtree) are at the Echo with Astronautalis, Big Boi (Daddy Fat Saxxx Tour, Sack 2) are at the Regent with The Cool Kids, Potty Mouth are at the Bootleg with The She’s and Justus Proffit, TEENAGE FACES are at the Hi hat with NO WIN.
