Katy Perry Was Paid $70,000 To Endorse Hillary Clinton

Hillary and Katy

I would say that this is another reason not to vote for Hillary Clinton or this is another reason to dislike Katy Perry, I can’t decide… According to the Washington Free Beacon, ‘pop star Katy Perry’s company has been paid nearly $200,000 by the campaigns of presidential candidates she has endorsed, including Hillary Clinton, public records show.’

Back in October, Perry endorsed Hillary Clinton, and 2 months later Perry’s company, Kitty Purry Inc., was paid about $70,000 for ‘event production’ and even if it is not clear for what event she was paid, Perry has headlined several Clinton campaign events like the Iowa rally.

But is this normal procedure? Apparently it is for Katy since her company was also paid more than $128,000 for a host of services related to Barack Obama’s campaign event on November 2012, ‘for event site rental, staging, sound, lighting, travel, and lodging’.

What kind of endorsements are these if they are paid endorsements? Perry will perform with Elton John for Hillary Clinton in March and I would like to know how much Elton John will be paid!

After reading this, I have the feeling this is common practice in politics, I was naïve enough to think that entertainers who support a candidate do it for free, because they really believe in the candidate, but it is apparently not the case, money is probably often involved and in so everything is a lie,… what a surprise! Perry was the highest paid musician this past year with a gross income of $135 million, couldn’t she have donated her valued time and stage production money to the campaign if she was really supporting Clinton? Elton John is extremely wealthy too, and if he receives money too, I have only disdain for greedy individuals who still accept money from politicians they allegedly support. And what received Perry may well be pocket money compared to other deals, who knows? In 2014, Perry had even offered to write Hillary Clinton campaign theme song, although it doesn’t seem to be the case yet, I wonder how much she would ask for the effort!
