When Kanye West is not busy promoting his wife’s latest app, Kimoji, which gives you access to emoji and stickers redesigned to feature a cartoonish version of Kim’ big butt and boobs… quite OMG-pathetic, he is also promoting his sold out show at the Madison Square Garden.
The show will be a very special double event, featuring the premiere of his new album, ‘Waves’ or whatever it is called now, and a runway show. Kanye will effectively mix music and fashion and for this, he is asking for people’s help, as he wants to hire 1,200 extras to participate in the show.
‘Yeezy Season 3 is launching a casting for up to 1200 paid extras to participate in the exclusive Yeezy Season 3 fashion show, and premiere of Kanye West’s upcoming album, at Madison Square Garden on February 11th. Apply today!!’ said the Onset Productions email… and the best part is that extras will even be paid $50-80, just for attending. You will just to have to go through some makeup and wardrobe, be positioned throughout the floor, but be reassured, you will ‘stand comfortably throughout the set and receive direction on their performance gestures.’
So if performance gestures are involved, these people will be part of the spectacle and Kanye isn’t hiring professionals for this? May be because it is cheaper to pay regular people $50 bucks? I wonder whether it is a way to save money. Of course nobody will complain because these people will have access to a sold out show and be even paid to attend it! But be prepared, you are gonna wear one of these beige shapeless, baggy tunics, stand up with your arms apart for hours… I don’t believe a minute you will ‘stand comfortably’ as they say, The Mashable has a story of a man who auditioned for one of these Yeezus fashion shows, and he had to completely stripped down… I am not saying this is what will happen, but you are warned.
