Just What We Needed, Gene Simmons Gives His Opinion About Trump

Gene Simmons

Do we need to be informed about Gene Simmons’ political opinion? Certainly not, I can’t already stand his arrogant attitude, but unfortunately for us, the Kiss’ frontman went on CNN to inform masses about his great political knowledge. On the talk show, Tonight With Don Lemon, Simmons spoke highly of his Celebrity Apprentice friend, Donald Trump:

‘Donald Trump is a loving family man,’ said Simmons. ‘His children have turned out terrific. He’s anti-drug, anti-booze. The guy’s a straight shooter. Does that mean that you agree with his politics or I do? That’s beside the point. If you’re talking about the man, he’s an upstanding guy. His views on Mexico or the wall or stuff like that. Look, do yourself a favor, go to the ballot box and vote your conscience. I’m glad the far-left and the far-right get to have a voice in there.’

What a bunch of stupid things to say! For Simmons, being anti drug is a moral value! Plus, how can someone be a loving man when all you do is preaching hate, and so far this is what Trump has been doing since the beginning of his campaign. Regarding immigration, knowing that Simmons is an immigrant, he should understand, nevertheless he is still sort of defending his friend on this burning question:

‘You know he’s smarter than that, he’s better than that and we all have our private feelings about stuff but I believe, look, I’m an immigrant, I came to this country because my mother and I wanted a better life. We did come in legally and I do understand that there’s an issue with a lot of Americans, they’re afraid ‘what’s happening to America,’ borders are on-guard. I get it. Fear creates all kinds of havoc. Sometimes it creates hate. And when you’re talking about 10-20 million illegal immigrants, I don’t care where they come from, Sweden or anywhere else, we start to talk about the border.’

This vague assumption that people from Sweden receive the same treatment than people from Mexico in terms of immigration or in any situation is really out of touch with reality. The whole thing is so bizarre, he doesn’t want to say a bad thing about Trump, but he doesn’t even want to say if he agrees or not with his politics,… however, he recognizes that the phenomenon ‘creates hate’. Trump and Simmons have a lot of things in common, they are both obnoxious and narcissistic old guys with bad hair and a big mouth, sexagenarians who think they are chick magnets whereas they just have a fat wallet. These guys are delusional about themselves and about everything, they suck and should go away.

Kiss didn’t do a lot of blow while making Destroyer and after. Yeah, right, that’s not what Bob Ezrin had to say. ‘Course, it didn’t get in the way of the work.
