Born on May 17, 1964, in Manchester, England, Andy Rourke discovered his passion for music at a young age. Inspired by the vibrant punk and post-punk scene of the late ’70s and early ’80s, he picked up the bass guitar and embarked on a musical journey that would forever change his life and the landscape of music.
In 1982, Andy, along with Johnny Marr, Morrissey, and Mike Joyce, formed The Smiths, a band that would captivate audiences with their unique sound and introspective lyrics.
