Fill In The Blank – Car Seat Headrest – The buzz on these indie guys has been deafening, and sometimes for good reason, but here? This has post-breakthrough written all over it, a little too arranged, a little too muscular, and not quite as good as it thinks it is – B-

There Will be Time – Mumford And sons, Baaba Maal – Folk meets world music and it starts really really slow, but perks up by the midway point – C+

Duele El Corazon – Enrique Iglesias and Wisin – Wisin can bring life to anything and Iglesias is a charming performer, but the song sucks as anything but a dance track – C+

Wake Up – Fetty – As a nonfan of the arrogant fuck, I was given to hate this but it is a very good modified reggae rap track – B

Better – Meghan Trainor – Why is she doing this? I guess the answer is simple, to become a popstar at any price. And she is a popstar so I guess the price is her undoubted skills as a songwriter, rusted – C

Let Me Love You – Ariana Grande – The pocket diva and the rapper who was once King, come together on this dreary piece of crap pop, still you gotta love Weezy’s voice – C

Wonderful Life (Mi Oh My) – Matoma – Swedish DJ gets his calypso on with  this entirely addictive to the point of irritation song from “The Angry Birds” movie – B+

Ghost (featuring Vince Staples) – Major Lazer – Two more folks who suck live, but not on record. Staples owes Diplo one for introducing him to the mainstream here – A-
