Hypnotised – Akon – This is better than last years Snoop duet, a terrific piece of clippity cloppity, extremely addictive, pop soul with an Island flava. Confusingly, it has the same name as his track with Plies, but this is so good, so addictive, it reminds me of 2010 Flo Rida – A-
Torches – Daughtry – This is such standard rock and roll fare, it almost reviews itself. Heavy duty anthem verse based on the observation “love is like a torch…” – D+
Smoke And Retribution – Flume, Vince Staples, Kucka – You know that violin sample was created by some smart guy producer, and it was, Flume. Kucka sings the chorus, Vince the verses – B
Honey – Katy B – Dreamy and hot soul sizzler, it is a slow burner and sexual dynamo, but the song rest to hard on the beat – B
No Tomorrow – The London Suede – Not a disappointment because, well Suede have always had a problem making their glam UK pop sound catchy as it should be, the verse is terrific though and it is so magnificently old fashioned you forgive the lame verses – B+
Pillowtalk – Zayn – Kitchen sink, heart and soul electronic sex pop track from the Direction alone, if this “it’s a paradise and it’s a love song” doesn’t break big for Malik nothing will – B+
