Frances Bean Cobain Has Filed For Divorce From Isaiah Silva

Cobain and Silva

It didn’t last very long! TMZ, E! online and other entertainment media are reporting that Frances Bean Cobain, the only daughter of Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain, has filed for divorce from her husband Isaiah Silva, citing irreconcilable differences.

E! says the two tied the knot in June 2014, although it seems that the secret ceremony just occurred last September? At least this is when we learnt about it, at the same time that Courtney Love, who didn’t get invited… Everybody was reporting about it at the end of September 2015, while Courtney was posing with some Hollywood male bimbo for her Facebook and Instagram ‘If you think I’m sorry for being a no-show at any important events this week, think again. I was with @jamesnorley’

And this was a very strange and stupid comment considering that Courtney has never missed an opportunity to exploit her daughter’s slightest move.

So just a few months later, Frances’ wedding is over, although the two had been together for about 5 years. Silva is a musician and everything looked very good in 2012 when he declared this in a rare interview for People magazine: ‘We’re each other’s everything. We’re homebodies. We don’t go out to clubs so you won’t find us stumbling out of them with Lindsay Lohan. We stay at home, read books and watch Arrested Development.’… ‘They’re quiet and shy. They’re a great couple. Frances comes to most of our shows that she can get into,’ added band mate Mark Kuchel,

Difficult to know what happened but, for what it is worth, Frances’ appearance has changed a lot since these happy days. The divorce seems final as the documents state:

‘Petitioner requests that all gifts, inheritance, bequests and all other pre-marital assets, and all of her post-separation earnings, and acquisitions, as well as her clothing, jewelry and personal effects, be confirmed and/or awarded to her as her separate property plus all credits, offsets and reimbursements to which she is entitled,’ so it’s clear Isaiah does not get anything – and TMZ is reporting that the Cobain estate is valued at $450 million – although it is also said that Frances is open to paying and receiving spousal support.

It’s sad because everyone was saying that this marriage was bringing some much-needed stability in Frances’ life. The relationship with her mother was anything but smooth back in 2012, at one point she even got a restraining order against Love. But lately, the two have been hanging out a lot together, they were very cozy at the premiere of ‘Montage of Heck’, and according to the NY Daily News, Frances was even spotted shopping with Courtney on Tuesday. And this can’t be a good thing.
