Fiona Apple is a queen, and a queen who profoundly dislikes president elect Trump! Well, she is not alone, right?
Just in time for the upcoming Women’s March in Washington DC on January 21st (but also in other cities across the country), the singer has released this short but very efficient track, called ‘Tiny Hands’.
‘We don’t want your tiny hands, anywhere near our underpants,’ she repeats over some simple musical arrangement by one of her touring musicians, Michael Whalen.
What else do you need? Of course, I remember her recent performance at We Rock With Standing Rock, back in December, when she had already expressed her disdain for Trump by singing her spectacular Christmas song parody, ‘Trump’s Nuts Roasting on an Open Fire,’ for the joy and the amusement of the entire audience.
She is doing it again, but if you think Fiona Apple is trying to get the attention on herself, you are very mistaken. Sexual abuse is something she has experienced herself, she has been very open about it, so seeing a man, who has been accused of sexual assaults by several women, becoming the US president, is probably something unbearable for her.
One sure is certain, with this second attack, she may attract Trump’s attention and this may generate a tweet from the president elect himself,… you know, some dismissive stupid rant like ‘Fiona Apple is a very overrated singer’… Probably not, Trump doesn’t even know who Fiona Apple is!
Never in history an upcoming president has received so many hostile messages from the artist community.
