Film At Eleven: Brad Pitt To Produce Chris Cornell’s Upcoming Documentary

Chris Cornell Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt and Chris Cornell

There is a documentary about the life of Chris Cornell in the work, and according to Blabbermouth, it will be produced by his good friend Brad Pitt.

The film, titled ‘Like a Stone’ will actually be a co-production between Pitt and Cornell’s widow Vicky Cornell, and will be directed by Peter Berg (‘Patriots Day’, ‘Lone Survivor’, ‘Deepwater Horizon’.

Lauchlin MacDonald will play Chris Cornell and Robert De Niro’s daughter Drena De Niro will play Vicky Cornell (and this could work), while Adelicia Morris will play Chris’s mother Karen Cornell, Sandeep will play SOUNDGARDEN guitarist Kim Thayil, and Paul Louis Harrell will play producer Michael Beinhorn in dramatized scenes. Meanwhile, archival footage of Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Audioslave will also be used.

Cornell died on May 18, 2017, in his hotel Room in Detroit, and so far the cause of death has been determined as suicide by hanging.

Of course, many are gonna say it is a cash grab for Vicky Cornell who was recently sued by Cornell’s first wife Susan Silver for failing to pay child support for Chris Cornell’s first daughter Lillian Jean Cornell… Vicky Cornell has since dismissed the lawsuit, so obviously, we can expect the documentary to be biased in favor of her own version.
