Ohana Festival, the music festival created by Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, has announced its 2023 lineup, and I am not too impressed. Is there one festival that the Foo Fighters are not headlining? It seems that Dave Grohl and his band are everywhere and they are playing Ohana Fest’s last day with the Pretenders. Meanwhile, The Killers and HAIM are headlining on Friday, and Eddie Vedder and the Chicks are playing on Saturday night. Other acts on the lineup include Father John Misty, Japanese Breakfast, The War on Drugs, Goose, Charley Crockett, Lucius, Shame, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, The Backseat Lovers, Suki Waterhouse, Thee Sacred Souls, Shame, Dhani Harrison, and more. You can check out the complete list of performers above. It’s a nice little lineup, with several artists I love, but there’s nothing too spectacular, nothing exceptional. I know, the location in itself (the beautiful Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California) is spectacular. I bet Pearl Jam unconditional fans are going each year – although be aware, It’s a solo act, not Pearl Jam – but I wonder if they buying a 3-day ticket for $479 when they can buy a single-day ticket for $169. This year, the event will take place at the beginning of fall, on September 29th, 30th, and October 1st.
