Documentary Exploring Eazy-E’s Death Fails Its Kickstarter Campaign

Was Eazy-E murdered? This is what a documentary called ‘A Ruthless Scandal: No More Lies’ is claiming to explore.

The N.W.A. rapper died in 1995, officially from complications resulting from AIDS, but 21 years later, his daughter Ebie Wright has decided to investigate the circumstances surrounding her father’s death. According to Rolling Stone, she had started a Kickstarter campaign to raise $250,000 in order to finance the documentary.

I suppose there is a ‘conspiracy theory’ around the death of any musician who dies young, but the project promises to address ‘lies, rumors and inconsistencies of her father’s unusual and untimely death through Intense probing in face to face interviews with the most crucial people who were around Eazy throughout the years’… ‘Details of what was happening each day leading up to him supposedly succumbing to Aids will be revealed,’ continues the description. ‘From shocking facts and recollections from key people who were connected to the story and through dramatization you will get an inside look at Eazy’s last days. The FACTS are simply jaw dropping.’

There were different pledges offered, from a modest $5 to a whopping $10,000 in exchange of Eazy’s original and precious Ruthless Mafia Jacket.

This was announced 2 days ago on Rolling Stone, Ebie’s mother, Tracy Jernagin, and half-sister, Erica, were all involved in the project and have said to have been working together on the film for the past 10 years. ‘We’re not accusing anyone, but maybe they want to tell their side,’ Jernagin told Rolling Stone. ‘This is going to be very objective. We’re not going to point fingers. We just want to present the facts and let people make their own evaluation of it.’

However, today you could read on the page ‘Funding Unsuccessful…This project’s funding goal was not reached’ They just raised $2,805, out of the $250,000 they were asking, which is ridiculous, but why was this project so poorly advertised? Why did Rolling Stone and Pitchfork mention it just a day before the end of the campaign? Is this another conspiracy?
