HEAR: Big Wave More Fire Remixes –

Today, Los Angeles production duo DJDS is sharing a new EP of remixes. Taken from their album Big Wave More Fire, which has accumulated over 40 million streams since its release on May 18th via Loma Vista, the EP consists of three remixes courtesy of Rostam, BloodPop, and Jacques Greene.
Rostam, a DC-based producer and former member of Vampire Weekend, remixes “No Pain” featuring Khalid, Charlie Wilson & Charlotte Day Wilson into a guitar-laced ballad. Kansas City’s BloodPop, who has collaborated with pop star royalty including Madonna, Lady Gaga, HAIM, Grimes and Justin Bieber, reimagines “I Get By” featuring Amber Mark and Vory as a club-ready dance hit. Jacques Greene, the producer from Montreal who has worked with Tinashe and has previously remixed Radiohead and Shlohmo transforms “I Heard” featuring The-Dream and Vory into an airy, R&B-tinged track.
In addition to the EP, DJDS is making the acapella vocal tracks of “I Get By”, “No Pain”, and “I Heard”, from Big Wave More Fire available for download, allowing artists, DJs and fans alike to create their own versions of their favorite songs on the album. The duo also recently released a Splice Sample pack inspired by Big Wave More Fire for fans.

What the press is saying about Big Wave More Fire:

“the duo’s most inventive project yet, soaring between euphoric harmonies, ghostly Auto-Tune creations, and skittering drums in their signature sample-heavy style”
– Billboard
“their strongest full-length effort to date”

– Complex

“Big Wave More Fire is filled with elegant R&B-infused and auto-tuned pop hits”

– Earmilk

“DJDS are just getting started”

– Highsnobiety

“As imposing as a midtown skyscraper, DJDS’s wildly accomplished 14-track album arrived on Friday through Loma Vista and builds on the success the two achieved during intense collaborations with the rapper-producer and cultural provocateur Kanye West on his 2016 album ‘The Life of Pablo.'”

– The Los Angeles Times

“it’s romantic, nostalgic without being cloying, and feels equally suited to sing-alongs in the car and the amphitheater”

– Pitchfork
