Biding Our Time: What’s The Word? Taliban

The longest War In US history ends

The End Of A War: Of course the US had to get out of Afghanistan, as they made the same mistake they had made in Iran with the Shah, they assumed they could bribe a population but their charity based Pax Americana, and all the things that happened to improve Afghani women from an Islamic government (aka the Taliban) who killed people for singing on their way home from a wedding. North America just can’t help itself, it treats different cultures as misguided fools who just need a taste of American style freedom to come to us. I believed it, during Operation Desert Storm I pointed to the US in Lebanon in 1958 for how Western culture can transform a country. But Lebanon was never a strictly Islamic State, they always embraced the USA (and France, of course). Neither Iraq, whom despite the state of the country in 2021 is still better than it was (US advisory: Do not travel to Iraq due to COVID-19, terrorism, kidnapping, armed conflict, and Mission Iraq’s limited capacity to provide support to U.S. citizen) nor Afghanistan consider the US anything more than an invading force and the best thing you can di, if you’re a politician, is take every penny you can get and ignore their nonsense. The armed forces did so and capitulated to the Taliban as though they were France in the second world war.

When Is A Politician Not A Politician? Never. I once wrote how Eddie Vedder has more in common with Pat Boone than he ever shall with you and I. The same is true of the most corrupt and corrupting job in the world, politics. Joe Biden has MUCH MORE in common with Trump than he ever had with we, the people. I don’t like Biden, not the way I don’t like Trump but even so. The plastic faced, bilious, short tempered, borderline senile Biden has had his honeymoon and now he has Covid 19: The Delta Variation and the backstabbing of US allies in Kabul to contend with. No, he isn’t Trump and his instincts aren’t towards totalitarianism but that’s a terribly low bar. I don’t care who you are in 2021, I don’t care if you are FDR (who was complicit in the final solution by not allowing the armed forces to destroy the railroads to Auschwitz) or AOC (who destroyed the Amazon job factory in Long Island City FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER), you’re an asshole. People are meant to be governed in tribes, the bigger the tribes the bigger the corruption.

Summer Is Almost Gone: But Covid-19 is still putting a damper on the world. The US should mandate vaccines, if there weren’t 80M people still refusing to be save and putting the entire country in the greatest danger. This has nothing to do with freedom and everything to do with power corrupting.

So Is Music Worse In The 21st Century? Music is just as good and in some ways better, songs are worse. It’s like saying that classical music was better in the 1850s. Of course it was.
