Comment: When you break the year by song it hasn’t been as disappointing as it might seem, the Gary Clark Jr album, for instance, is wildly overrated, but the song here is a catchy bubblegum rocker wrapper. The James Blake song at the top is so gorgeous it will be hard to dislodge, though I bet Big Thief will disappear, or at least go down a lot, once we hear the new album and it is superseded…
