Best Live In New York Sets, 2021

I went to see John Mulaney on May 10th at City Winery and didn’t really stop till Billy Joel, December 20th, 2021. And now we have stopped…

For the best sets, I go between Angelique Kidjo at Carnegie Hall, Yemi Alade at Le Poisson Rouge, Harry Styles and Lil Nas X at MSG, Cordae and J. Balvin at Governors Ball (a great Gov Ball, but only good sets and nothing close to that Fiona Apple gig at 2012).

But if I have to choose one set, it would be Randy Edelman at the 9-11 Let Me Help benefit produced by SohoJohnny. Sadly, a full length solo concert was set for just after thanksgiving and I missed it due to family obligations, but for Randy to be so on point at this point of the composer and songwriter’s career is shamanism. Randy is performing again at The Chelsea Table And Show on Saturday, February 26th, 2022 (here) and at sixty bucks a set I am invested in actually making it this time!
