Azealia Banks has responded in typically unfiltered fashion to Iggy Azalea’s recent ‘Becky’ objection, saying, “You called yourself a runaway slave master you silly white bitch.”
The whole debacle began with the release of Beyonce’s incredible new album, Lemonade. On ‘Sorry’, which addresses husband Jay Z’s alleged infidelity, Beyonce sings, “He only want me when I’m not there / He better call Becky with the good hair.”
The term is considered by some to be a general term for a certain type of white woman. So when a fan of Iggy Azalea called her Becky, she objected strongly, saying, “Dont call all asian women ‘ming lee’ dont call white women ‘becky’ dont call black women ‘sha nay nay’.”
Despite having her own issues with Beyonce’s album, Azealia Banks was not having any of Azalea’s complaints.
