A Selection Of Free Summer Concerts In Los Angeles

Summer is approaching, and this is the season for outdoor concerts. As usual, there will be tons of free concerts to choose from in Los Angeles during summertime, as many parks, beaches, and other public places offer free music: the Levitt Pavilion in MacArthur Park organizes 50 free concerts, the Getty Museum has its own Off the 405 series, FIGat7th downtown LA has another concert series the entire month of June, and Pershing Square concert series will soon announce its lineup as well as a few other places. At the top of this, Amoeba Music will surely announce more shows during the summer

Here is already a small selection of free concerts that should be interesting:

Justin Townes Earle is at Amoeba on May 29th

Ceci Bastida, Dub 8, Blanco y Negro are at Levitt Pavilion MacArthur Park on June 7th

Cherry Glazerr & Liily are playing FigFest at FIGat7th on June 7th

Jarina De Marco, Sister Mantos are at Levitt Pavilion MacArthur Park on June 6th

Mike Watt & The Missingmen, Bastidas, Don Bolles are at Levitt Pavilion MacArthur Park on June 20th

STRFKR, De Lux are at FIGat7th on June 28th

Cate Le Bon plays at the Getty on July 6th

Jen Awad, Cutty Flam are at Levitt Pavilion MacArthur Park on July 11th

Draemings, Vaya Futuro, El Manana, Bananaleafboy, Xolo are at Levitt Pavilion MacArthur Park on July 12th

Rickie Lee Jones is playing at the Burton Chace Park on July 20th

Fartbarf, Numb.er are at Levitt Pavilion MacArthur Park on August 15th

No Parents, Fatty Cakes and the Puff Pastries, The Witching Hours are at Levitt Pavilion MacArthur Park on August 22md

Ex Hex are at the Getty on September 14th for another Off the 405 series
