2015 Was A Real Gallery Of Rock Stars For Me

17 ringo

Ringo Starr

When I think about it, I met a lot of stars this past year, real rock stars, legends! When I looked back I realize it will be difficult to top this line up in 2016, but I may try… I was lucky, beside Ringo Starr’s 75th birthday (above) I have attended a lot of concerts and events. Check out this list, if I go back in time little by little, I saw….

Mike D of the Beastie Boys at Sonos Studio, Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth fame at the Echo, Marilyn Manson in conversation with Tyler Bates at the Grammy museum, Henry Rollins in conversation with Shepard Fairey at the American Cinematheque, Duran Duran signing at Amoeba, Peaches singing at Amoeba, Bad Religion’s Greg Graffin at the Bootleg, Gary Clark Jr. at Amoeba, Arcade Fire’s Régine and Win Butler at the Ace Hotel, Los Lobos at the Levitt Pavilion, Queens of the Stone Age at the Teragram Ballroom, Dwight Yoakam at Annenberg Space for Photography, Tame Impala at Hollywood Forever, Mariah Carey at her star ceremony on Hollywood Walk of Fame, TV on the Radio at Annenberg Space for Photography, The Police’s Andy Summers signing at Amoeba, Television at the Teragram Ballroom, Devendra Banhart at Lacma, ex-Girls’ Chris Owens at the Echo, Courtney Barnett at the Roxy, Stephin Merritt at Hollywood Forever, Alabama Shakes at Amoeba and later on at the Greek theater, Panda Bear at the Roxy, Interpol at the Shrine Expo Hall, Nick Cave at the American cinematheque, Brian Wilson at the Brian Wilson fest at the Fonda, Weezer at Bugerama, The Bangles’ Susanna Hoffs at High Fidelity Records, The Flaming Lips and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros at Air + Style festival….
