untitled

– Iron Rooster – Foo Fighters – The first Foo song I’ve come within a thousand miles of liking since 2011, maybe because he is ripping off Tom Petty instead of Chris Cornell -yes folks, a Foo track will make it into the best of the year – B+

– R. A.P. Music – Killer Mike – Another type of religious experience – A

–  It’s Better This Way – The Associates – This is their masterpiece, high drama through the end of the world synth power, it is like synth pop Smiths and the only time Mackensie trumped Morrissey – A

– Reagan – Killer Mike – RONALD SIX WILSON SIX REAGAN SIX – A

– Winston Churchill’s Boy – Benjamin Clementine – “Never in the field of human affection…” – A

– These Are Listed Buildings – Los Campesinos – The beginning of their irrelevance, they shoulda used those fingers for crossing – B+

– Tombstone Blues -Bob Dylan – This is what a bit of a struggle to get tight, Dylan thought it was bluesier than it was – A+
