– One Of Your Tears – Prince – Why did he decide to rebrand Crystal Ball as The Truth? This remains a lesser known masterpiece waiting for Chris Brown to cover it, a deep feel slice of sex , infidelity, break up and heart break – A+
– Betcha By Golly Wow – Prince – From 1195, when he was apparently emancipated to cover, a superb job as well -his falsetto simply outstanding – A-
– Delirious – Prince – If we were tp claim that Prince lost the whiteness of his songwriting, we might point here as a place where he bled them together – A+
– Sign O’ The Times – Prince – His greatest political moment, a signpost of t987: minimal bass track – A
– Wow – Prince – A relatively recent stomping good rock track – B+
– Thieves In The Temple – Prince – Again, while this might not be a huge song for the man, it finds the middle ground between white and black he used to mine so well – B+
- Take Me With You – Prince – There is a reason he was a legend, this is one of them: a minor major track off a huge album – A-
– Ain’t About To Stop – Prince – Off his last album, enough of these beats in search of a song -this sounds effortless, as in he put no effort in it – D
– Sister – Prince – One of the greatest albums of all time (I always forget to include, but if I was in the right mood I might try to fit Dirty Mind into my top ten), this story of incest isn’t just filthy dirty incest, it also includes an expression of the dangers of incest, “oh sister, I just wanna be your friend” – A
– Soft And Wet – Prince – At the beginning, Prince was a Michael Jackson wannabe, who actually got laid. This is a terrific r&B workout based around his falsetto – A
