1 – Come Down – Anderson Paak – woooah! Leading up to the eagerly anticipated new album, this is a terrific beat track with a finger picked bass and Anderson And back up singers trading and communalizing on the vocals. This should end up on my best of the year with complete ease – A
2 – You’ll Need Those Fingers For Crossing – Los Campesinos – Their greatest moment, an incomparable indie pop masterpiece and seeing them perform it at Bowery ballroom lead directly to me writing abour music again… finally on Spotify – A+
3 – Half Right – Adir L.C. – Gorgeous melody, sharp arrangement, wall of guitar sound, pretty much perfect – A
4 – Pablo Picasso – David bowie – This is the one for me right now – A
5 – Dazed and Confused – Led Zeppelin – This didn’t make em superstars but it absolutely cemented their position.
6 – I Can’t Give Everything away – David Bowie – The second best song off the album is still kinda painful – A
7 – I’m A Truck – Red Simpson – Terrific Bakersfield country giant, nails it perfectly… he sounds a little like cash here – A
8 – You Know What To Do – Weeklings – second coolest song of 2015 according to Little Stevie, and who am I to argue?
9 – Country western Truck Drivin’ Singer – Red Simpson – Terrific novelty song without the novelty – A
10 – Miss Right – Anderson Paak – Not bad at all, a lo fi neo soul mover – B+
