2 – To Cut A Long Story Short – Spandau Ballet – An ultimate synth pop masterwork – A

3 – Simple Things (Remix) – Miguel – I was daydreaming about this cat playing Jingle Ball but nah, the demo just keeps getting younger and younger. This new remix with Chris Brown and Future is pretty great off a terrific song from his excellent current album – A-

4 – Pepsi/Coke Suicide – Elvis Depressedly – Moody bastards – B+

5 – Bros – Wolf Alice – My bet for the Mercury Prize winner… – B+

6 – Cheer Up London – Slaves – Consider this covering my bets on the Mercury Prize, because we’re dead already – A

7 – Twin Size Mattresses – The Front Bottoms – Hey man, I love Sella but no fucking way does he follow this one up ever – A

8 – Plastic Flowers – The Front Bottoms – Best song off the newbie, a benediction, more or less, maybe just wishful thinking: “I BELIEVE THAT SOMEONE’S GOT A PLAN FOR ME”  -B+

9 -You Got Spirit, Kid – Coheed And Cambria – This is the one, it matches rock with emo with prog and it kills – A

10 – Times To Die – Car Seat Headrest – Seattle indie rockers, here it is, if you’re looking  – A-
