maxresdefault

– Remember – Steve Angello, The Presets – I like that lone piano and the jittery beats that show up early, but it pushes way too hard into big EDM ballad and it simply doesn’t sound good – C

– Evil – Savages – I love everything about this song, especially the bass – B+

– Breathe – Vox Vocis – More bad rock – C-

– Moody Six – Ulver – It claims black metal here, but it is really more like ambient guitar noise – B

– I Wanna Fly – Trevor Moran – Seventeen year old has a powerful voice, sounds good, sings generic pop fluff like this – C+

– The Catastrophist – Tortoise – Not at all bad electronic plus sounds like real drums instrumental – B

– Were We Once Lovers – Tindersticks – These guys always tend to get lost in the sticks, but if you wanna hear where the National learnt a lot of their moves from be here now  – B+

– Ballad Of Big Nothing – Julien Baker – From her Mercury Lounge gig, I really got to see this chick live – A

– Ballad Of Big Nothing – Elliott Smith – A goodie, you can hear his hand on the strings – B+

– Pressure Of Our Plans – The Besnard Lakes – It soars like a bird but too long and high, but after another spin this aint bad, it accumulates its soar  – B+
