Elvis-Costello-on-Sesame-Street

– Monster Went And Ate My Red 2.- Elvis Costello – On Sesame Street, Costello is trying to count to 10 but is being stopped in his tracks because… the monsters went and ate his red 2. Red 2…, Elvis sounds goofy, wonder how the twins liked it it? – A

– Summer Shandy – The Front Bottoms  – This band is much much better out of context, as a change up on a playlist they really bring it but as part of a 50 minute album, the inside baseball stuff get too much. Alone, “When she asks me why they call me Brian instead of Steven” and its response “it  has much to do with my professional as it does with personal reasons”, is almost witty when you aren’t in the midst of ot – B

– Love On Top – Beyonce – This is such a fine dance track it stands out as the best disco track on an album that includes “Single Ladies” – A

– Jellyman Kelly – James Taylor – Nice song about a jelly addict – B+

– Shiny Happy Monsters – REM, The Muppets – Laughing all the while… – B+

– Quality Street – Van Morrison – Van didn’t write this but he makes it his own, a wonderful true love in the eyes of God thoing – A

– Burning Ground – Van Morrison – A highlight of his life shows for quite a few years, love the spoken word stuff – B

– Queen Of The Slipstream – Van Morrison – This is one of his mythic song, it is like a drean of love where the poetic champions compose – A

– Live With Me (Live AT Leeds University 1971) – The Rolling Stones – All hail Mick Taylor – A-

– Alive – SIa – she sure is a drama queen weirdo willing to sell that voice for all she’s worth – B
