– Middle Of A Memory – Cole Swindell – What does country and pop have in common, they have both settled into formulas with increasingly decreasing returns. This is terrible country dumbass modern country, I wonder where it was manufactured? Look, I don’t really care about how good songs get made, I care about how bad songs get made – D+
– Salt – RY X – Strummy and quietly intense indie pop folk thingy – B
– Soon – Royal Tusk – Rock ordinaire – C+
– Don’t Be A Hero – Rooney – Not what we want, a bland out by a band of entourage type performers – C
– Can’t Stop The Feeling – Justin Timberlake – With Max and Shellack, this is his worst song either, three hooks and another one added on the coda, and it is one retread. I hope it stiffs so much – D+
– Map Of My Heart – Mary Chapin Carpenter – A woman much better in small doses, for three minutes this is a dark and sweet country Americana track – B-
– Detour – Cyndi Lauper – With Emmylou Harris, 50s sounding bluegrassy stuff – C+
– Daydreaming – Radiohead – The opposite of Mary, it sounds a little flimsy unless you hear it in context where it builds from the surroundings – B
– BURNING TOO – Pinkwash – Don Giovanni’s latest band, is an ultimate type band for these guys, middling hard rockers with a touch of glam – B
– Obama – ANOHNI – Sounds like Islamic prayers – B
