3 – Fiction – Kygo, Tom Odell – I love Tom’s soulful vocal but the song is a major bummer, with a chorus that should hook but doesn’t – C+
4 – Hear Me Now – 3!OH3! – business as usual speed rap funniness with two great samples – B
5 – 1985 – Kvelertak – Sounds like The Cars go to hell, very good thriller of the week – B+
6 – That’s How I Got To Memphis – Karl Blau – Excellent, sleek but full of feeling take on the classic – B+
7 – New Ogi – Jessy Lanza – Electronic singer songwriter plays table pong – B-
8 – Flake – Jameszoo – experimental electronica with no middle to speak of – C+
9 – Middle – DJ Snake, Bipolar Sunshine – Already a hit in the UK, but not Snake’s defining moment now is it? – C+
10 – Fiction – Islands – Off the lesser of their two current albums, this is catchy as all get out indie pop – B
