the-lumineers

–   Sleep On The Floor – The Lumineers – “Hey Ho” and a bad afternoon at Governors Ball gave me the wrong impression, this is a terrific folk rock song, it has something major without being bullying in its ebb and flow of guitars and echo – A-

– Creature Comfort – Woods – Indie folk song with a nice groove in the rhythm section – B

– Salt – Unno – Symphonic pop track with weirdo vocal – C+

– Graphic – Troller – Doomsday goth rock with lotsa atmospherics – C+

– Attention – Youthless – Lisbon’s finest’s most popular song is psychedelic garage drone guitar rock, most popular not best – C+

– Freak Cast In Iron – Tenement – And more guitars, this time alt rock riffs – B-

– Brilliant Sanity – Teleman – UK, subtle rock pop like Belle And Sebastian mixed with, actually mixed with Belle And Sebastian – B+

– I’d Ask You Not To Turn Away – Summer Flake – I don’t like the way they record the vocal, too bathtubby, but the acoustic guitar (lead instrument here) makes up for it – B

– Home – Snoh Aalegra – Persian singer via Sweden sounds very soulful – B

– Crash (feat Pell) – Skizzy Mars – Pell nails the music fine, the rap on the other hand, well maybe I am too hard on Skizzy, he kinda raps in tune and the tune is strong – B
