– Lights Out – Big Grams – I wasn’t crazy about the band on record, but after catching em live, where they made a lot of friends at Governors Ball, I am happy to change my mind. This is their best song, and it is superior EDM pop (the singer is good), plus a fine rap – B+
– End Of The Line – The Travelling Wilburys – Written by all five brothers, though it sounds like George and Tom to these ears, it remains their finest moment and especially that terrific guitar solo on both beginning and end – A
– Boyfriend – Tegan And Sara – This is a smart sexual confusion (not hers, but hers) – B+
– Tomorrow Is A long Time – Love that slide guitar – A
– Rich – Maren Morris – Nice one, a terrific hook which she unloads at the start – B+
– Let It Burn – Volbeat – Country metal rocker – B
– Sylvia’s Mother – Dr. Hook – What exactly is an operator? – A+
– Finest Girl (Bin Laden Song) – The Lonely Island – Almost funny – B-
– I Believe In My Soul Live At The Rainbow – Van Morrison – Covering Ray Charles – A+
– Keep The Family Close – Drake – Left me cold at first, but it is a dark beauty – B+
