Concerts: I’ll get to the concert full review, but Ryan Adams is a strange one and on what should have been a slam dunk -first gig for his excellent new album Prisoner (Grade: A) at Apollo Theatre, he killed a lot of it dead but why the jams? And we now know why the jokes -he explained it during a vicious tirade at an audience member- but we don’t understand the pacing. Grade: B+ (it shoulda been an A)

The Presidency: I have nothing to say about that Press Conference, I have no idea what to say. It speaks for  itself.

New Music: The new Ryan Adams sees the light of day, (Grade: A)  the new Alison Krauss is, happily, a deluxe version (Grade: B+), the new Future would be better if he played it straighter (Grade: B+. The new Hanni El Khatib is nearly as good as Alyson Camus believes it to be (Grade:B+) . And the new Ed Sheeran single is one of the best of the year (Grade: A). So far so good.

More Concerts: Added Metallica (yes, the Sunday gig) and Future (with Migos opening!) to the list.

Old Music: I’ve been blasting J Lo in readiness for tonight and her back catalog is better than it has any reason to be.

Off To Vegas: So this will have to do for now! And Be Here Early will be late!!!
