Million – Tink – An Aaliyah for another age, if Tink has her say and this nod to the one in a million suggest she will, but Tink  doesn’t quite have the personality for it. Talented, no doubt, and this hits me as a major slice of r&b but she lacks star power. So far – B

The Way You’d Love Her – Mac Demarco – What is there about this guy that makes me feel if he took less drugs he’d be Jack Johnson, he is just this side of mainstream twit, but, yet again, he skirt it but on his first post Salad days hit, he still hasn’t fallen it – B

Ride – Twenty-One Pilot – It takes a coupla spins for these guys but yet again on first here, they are too clever in a sort of modern over arranged tempo shifting sort of way – B-

Great Big Storm – Nate Ruess – The difference between fun. as a band and fun solo is Nate doesn’t have the ear Jack does, and that works against him, but he is a better American songbook aficionado, and that works for him, here – B

Under The Levee – Joy Williams – Joy gets her Gospel blues on, and it isn’t bad though it might not be great. The truth is, Rhiannon Giddens is kinda beating her at this stuff – B

The Shade – Metric – Three years on and Metric sound as sugary sweet synth poppy band as ever – B-

Love Me Badder – Eliphant – It definitely helps that the Swedish singer is a little knock out, although, help might not be quite enough in the long run. This is still a goodie, very EDM manufactured, too much echo on the drum, but a good song – B
