k.d. lang is one of the great modern day torch singers,  and trailblazing same sexers who stood proud for her right to love who she wanted to. On Monday at Radio City Music Hall:  “Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the GRAMMY®-award winning, critically acclaimed album Ingénue , k.d. lang has announced a nineteen city concert tour that will bring a live performance of the platinum-selling record to venues across the United State.”

Monday –  Lil Skies – Life Of A Dark Rose Tour – Irving Plaza – This is what happens when Trap comes from the East Coast, it loses its eccentricness but gets even hookier.

Wednesday – Wild Child – Warsaw – “Think It Over” was a soulful slice of indie pop, and while the new album ran out of steam, they should set that straight on stage.

Thursday – Dashboard Confessional, Beach Slang, Kississippi – Brooklyn Steel – Did you know, Taylor Swift is a huge fan of Dashboard Confessional? Did you also know, I am a huge fan of Beach Slang.

Thursday – Monster Magnet – Music Hall Of Williamsburg – Hard rockin’ mo fos with a powerful new album to promote.

Thursday – Charlotte Day Wilson – Bowery Ballroom – Lovely voiced Canadian has a touch of the Joni Mitchell about her.

Friday – Ja Rule & Ashanti – King’s Theatre – Remember when they ruled rap and r&b. They ain’t that old, you know.

Friday, Saturday – PETER WOLF AND THE MIDNIGHT TRAVELERS – City Winery –  The J. Geils leader is underrated, if he isn’t Bruce that doesn’t mean he isn’t a hundred times better than Jon Bon. But his loss is our gain because this is pretty intimate. Unfortunately, it is also sold out.

Friday – TOTAL XANARCHY TOUR, Lil Xan, $teven Cannon, Lil Gnar – Brooklyn Steel – MUMBLE RAP. If you missed Lil Peep, this is the next xanaxed up thing!

Saturday – Fabolous & JadaKiss and Friends, DJ Funk Master Flex (Hot 97) –  Terminal Five – I caught Fabolous blowing Pusha T off stage at BB Kings a coupla years ago so by all means catch him here.

Sunday – Al Jardine: A Postcard From California- From the Very First Song With a Founding Member of the Beach Boys – City Winery – The only original, still living Beach Boy who is neither a nutcase nor an asshole.
