I sincerely believe the funk, rap, soul, biracial, female super starred, MC gianted by  Dave Doobie Aaron, twin brother featured, rock nyc friend, Shinobi Ninjas are celebrating their tenth year in the business at the Knitting Factory, are one of the most underestimated bands that have ever existed. When I claim they are among the names you might drop when discussing best live bands  OF ALL TIME, you better believe me that this guys are titans. If it was at the Gramercy, inches from their studio-rehearsal hall if you fancy stalking em, I would be there right this minute.

Monday, Tuesday – Aubrey And The Three Migos – Madison Square Garden – I caught them here last  Friday, enjoyed it enough to be warily checking em out again. Yeah, I’ve seen Drake better, but the man is a human jukebox and you won’t always be able to catch the biggest popstar on the planet performing his biggest hits, and still  near the peak of his powers.

Tuesday – Screamin’ Rebel Angels, Phil Gammage Quartet – Coney Island Baby – I haven’t seen the blues great Phil Gammage in years, time to catch up.

Tuesday – G-EAZY – The Endless Summer Tour – Jones Beach – G-Eazy, Lil Uzi Vert, Ty Dolla $ign, YBN Nahmir, P-Lo, Murda Beatz – The question is what sort of reception will the Lil Uzi Vert fans give G-Eazy? Or will they walk?

Tuesday – Dee Pop (Bush Tetras) DJ Set – Expect lotsa of cool 70s funk and not too many creeps.

Wednesday – Fall Out Boy: The M A N I A Tour with Machine Gun Kelly – NYCB LIVE, Home of The Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum – I’m, checking out FOB next week , though Mania was a major let down and I am not convinced their live show will cut it.

Wednesday – 5 Seconds of Summer: Meet You There Tour – Mohegan Sun Arena – If you wanna figure out just how hard it is it is to become a huge boy band, just look how these guys keep on barely missing. They’ve cut back on the rock and sprinkled r&b.

Wednesday – Chris Isaak – The Paramount – “Love’s a heavy weight, give it to me don’t hesitate…” If all he did was that San Francisco Days album, the one man Sun Sessions would be well worth checking out.

Thursday –  The Dickey Betts Band, Dave Mason & Steve Cropper Rock & Soul Review – Toyota Oakdale Theatre – I was thisclose to checking him out at Sony Hall  earlier, the only time I did see him he was better than latter day Allman Brothers.

Friday – Hot 97’s On Da Reggae & Soca Tip, Konshens, Aidonia, Ding Dong, Kranium, Tifa, Elephant Man – Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk – I went to one of these productions in 2012 and wrote “An atrocious, poorly managed disaster where two and a half hours were wasted and all three major acts were squeezed into the last half hour, and Mr. Vegas, was relegated to less than ten minutes.” And I knew the acts then, here I don’t know any of the name and so, counter-intuitively, it might work as an important update.

Sunday – 95.9 WRATFEST / 105.5 WDHA Presents: Godsmack / Shinedown – Jones Beach –  00s metalcore rockers, worth checking out.
