Live Through This: rock nyc’s Concert Picks For The Week Of May 4th, 2020

In this alternate reality, where concerts were going on, I still had nothing to see though the chances are I’d have added something. But would it have been Krewella or Greg Dulli at Webster Hall? Not that I am crazy about either performer but with age comes rewards and among them being let into the disabled section where we battle with paraplegics for the last seat (they have a wheelchair, why not stay there?).

But I can’t see myself going to either show, while I can see myself crossing another band off my bucket list, the glorious, deep harmony boy band Boyz II Men, who would have been performing at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn on Friday. Sure, I hated them in the 1990s, but twenty years old I have gotten over the iffiness of the material and embraced the new jack brilliance of their earliest work, all and sincerely regret never catching them before. Plus, a Friday? Who stays home on a Friday, right?
