I realize the line up is breathtaking for this year’s Tidal X, Lil Wayne, Lauryn Hill, Meek Mill, Teyana Taylor, Kodak Black -hell it’s better than Summer Jam, but the problem is there is a ton of fluff to open the proceedings and last year I left well past midnight and still missed Jay Z (I did see a little of Stevie Wonder), which means on a Tuesday it is a wearying waste of time. I have a ticket to Tuesday’s gig at Barclay Center, and I may go, but I may not. And if I go? Forget about seeing Weezy, or Lauryn, it will be way too late.

Monday, Wednesday – Justin Timberlake – The Man Of The Woods Tour – Madison Square Garden – Pretty good, no doubt, but not as good as the previous two tours.

Monday – The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 20th Anniversary Tour – NJPAC – If it sounds the way it has been sounding it will be a risky business.

Monday – 10 Years of Mom+Pop: Featuring performances from Courtney Barnett, Sleigh Bells, Neon Indian, Alice Merton, Sunflower Bean, Tom Morello and special guests – Brooklyn Steel – Pretty good line up.

Monday, Tuesday – Carl Palmer- Iridium

Monday, Wednesday – BROCKHAMPTON – I’ll Be There Tour – Terminal 5

Tuesday – Noisey Presents G Herbo w/ special guests Southside & Queen Key – Irving Plaza

Thursday – Michael Gira (Swans) with Very Special Guest Norman Westberg (Swans) – Warsaw – The leader of the loudest band on earth.

Thursday – Bahamas, Kacy & Clayton – Terminal 5 – I know it was released early in the year, but don’t forget Bahamas terrific album at the end of the year awards.

Friday, Saturday – WSOU Presents: Clutch – Book Of Bad Decisions Tour 2018 – Debatably the owners of the best rock album of 2018

Friday – Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds – Barclay Center – The last time I saw Nick on stage I had great seats and that was a big mistake as Nick had every woman in the audience walking over me to touch him as part of some bizarre ritual, this time I have nosebleeds so I should be safe.

Saturday – The Town Hall Presents: Music In Twelve Parts Composed By Philip Glass -Town Hall

Saturday – Keith Urban: Graffiti U World Tour – Barclay Center – This guy tours too much and it is effecting ticket sales.

Saturday – The Dickies with Wyldlife, Battery Electric, High & Tight – Coney Island Baby

Saturday – Garbage – King’s Theatre

Sunday – Marc Anthony – Madison Square Garden – The top exponent of Latin American pop

Sunday – Power 105.1’s Powerhouse Cardi B, Lil Uzi Vert, SZA, Ella Mai, G-Eazy, Lil Baby – Prudential center – Impressive
