Kanye West Finds God

Kanye West has found God, for real. At the end of this week, he will release his ninth solo studio album ‘Jesus Is King’ accompanied by an IMAX film because Kanye never does anything small. In Los Angeles, he will premiere the album and the film tomorrow, during a special free listening and screening at the Forum.

At the same time, his pastor Adam Tyson, is revealing a few things about the rapper. Both men met through members of the pastor’s church, and Kanye, who has now truly found God, has been spending many hours in Tyson’s company for Bible study.

Tyson has told the press he is seeing ‘God doing a work’ while he has often witnessed Kanye punishing people who were swearing in the studio around him. ‘You can’t talk that around me, I’m a born again Christian,’ has explained West. Meanwhile, Tyson has also said he has advised the rapper on the right way to ‘articulate the gospel clearly’ in his songs.

When he recently played his new album in Washington D.C., Kanye, who is taking his new role very seriously, has declared that he’s not there to entertain, but rather ‘spread the gospel’.

Tyson, who recently spoke with Apologia Studios, also said that Kanye once referred to rap as ‘the devil’s music’ and that he contemplated quitting the genre for this reason.

‘One time, he told me that he wasn’t going to rap, said Tyson, ‘I said, ‘Why not?’ He said, ‘That’s the devil’s music.’ I said, ‘Hey, man. Rap is a genre. You can rap for God.’ I think he was already thinking about it a little bit, but I definitely said, ‘Hey, bro. I think you need to use your talents that God’s given you and use that platform for God.’’… West also said he was beginning to feel the pressure and ‘guilt of sin’ in the industry…

Interestingly, Kanye has been ruminating these same thoughts for a long time, didn’t he wrote ‘They said you can rap about anything except for Jesus/That means guns, sex, lies, video tape/But if I talk about God my record won’t get played’ in his 2004 song ‘Jesus Walks’…

But the question remains,… should we buy this righteous new Kanye? After all, this Lil Pump collaboration is just one year old and had such ‘sinful’ lyrics,… ‘You’re such a fuckin’ ho, I love it (I love it)’ … that the entire story sounds like a joke. And I am not even mentioning his wife Kim Kardashian whose entire Instagram would give the guilt of sin dressed a camaieu of beiges to anyone.

But the craziest part of the story is the free show tomorrow at the Forum in Los Angeles… what part of free his Christian fans did not understand? Because there are already plenty of tickets for sale on Twitter for hundreds of dollars! And this is certainly the real sin.
