Jack White, Solo and Out of His Mind

Can someone please tell me what happened to Jack White?  Did something more happen with Meg or something?  Was it all the black white and red, maybe some odd lab rat sort of thing that just made the dude whack out?

First the split, then these weird collaborations, then the odd Third Man Studios bit, then that whole Nashville hunky dory, and now.. he's going solo.

Releasing a solo album on April 24.  I'm worried.  Something is in the water.  He keeps aging badly getting more and more pale and almost corpse like in appearance and all the while letting out some of the oddest sounds.

They say its genius that makes people eventually go insane- perhaps that's it.  The White Stripes were amazing.  They forged a path and I don't care what anyone says they kicked manor ass live.

The Raconteurs?  Great stuff, really great- odd, yes but great yup.  Then poof gone.

Now this.  I wont even bring up the whole Dead Weather thing cuz to me that's when he lost his marbles.

"Love Interruption" is the first single off Blunderbuss, the album I fear.  So the song is just as odd and quirky as a roadside antique shop.  Who the hell is the woman singing with him and why is he so twangy.  A short stint in Nashville and he's Conway Twitty, its like Madonna and her fake Brit-ness.  Ok on the suck-o-meter it rates low.  I do love Jack, like a deranged uncle or something.  The song is tolerable but its not grand.

The hip ones will call him God.  The rest of us will follow the gossip papers to see when he cracks.

What does Jack say about the Endeavour?

“an album I couldn’t have released until now. I’ve put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas.”

me me me….
