Last Friday night, ‘it’s Only Rock’n’Roll show! Photography from the Edge Taken Front and Center’, the photo exhibit I have the pleasure to participate in, opened with a bang and a lot of fun… The photos of the opening party below are here to prove it!

You can currently see the unique work of 17 rock photographers At Castelli Art Space, until the show ends on September 2nd.

It is always a surprise to me to see that several people, present at the same concert, are not going to end up with the same pics at all, everyone has a unique vision, and this is even more the case when you take people coming from different horizons who have attended many music events over the years, such as Julie Gardner, who showcases her impressive collection of Neil Young photographies, Julian David Stone, autor of ‘No Cameras Allowed: My Career as an Outlaw Rock and Roll Photographer’, Randall Michelson, the current House Photographer at the Hollywood Bowl, George Seminara, a photographer/filmmaker who shot the Ramones, Louis Jacinto who documented the Punk Rock music scene in Los Angeles from the late 1970’, Jimmy Steinfeldt, who has worked with everyone from Miles Davis to the Ramones,… and this is just to name a few of the talented people who are part of the exhibit, along with creative director Greg Gutbezahl, one of the currators of the exhibit with Director at Castelli Art Space, Carlos Iglesias.

Beside the actual prints covering the walls of the space, many photos which could not be printed, are projected on a large wall, increasing the diversity of images available at this exhibit. When the exhibit is over, you will be able to visit the store website at https://www.itsonlyrocknrollphoto.com, as many pages are still being uploaded, and will come soon!

So visit Castelli Art Space, 5428 W Washington Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90016, before it ends!
