Farmsborough Country Music Festival At Randalls Island Cancelled: What Went Wrong?

In a surprise move, the Governors Ball folks and Live Nation have cancelled the second annual  Farmsborough Country Music Festival At Randalls Island and are giving out refunds, despite a pretty good line up… certainly better than lasts year.
“All of us at FarmBorough Festival appreciate the support we have received, but conditions dictate that we redirect our energy at this time. We appreciate the opportunity you afforded us to present FarmBorough in New York City, and apologize for any inconvenience.”

So what happened? Nobody bought tickets. Why? Because the idiots put it two weeks after Governors Ball when the market would seem to dictate a ;ate July, early August long weekend. why is there three music festivals in a five week window? What is this obsession with the start of the summer? Why not have the festivals MID SUMMER. With school out and vacations abounding, surely it would make much more sense?

One way or the other, despite a stellar line up headed by Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, and Kacey Musgraves, here is the first casualty of the Festival Wars
