Desert Daze’s Phase Four, The Festival Is Barely A Month Away
Desert Daze has announced its Phase Four a few weeks ago, and more bands were added to the already very packed lineup: The magnificent and quintessential shoegaze/dream pop group Slowdive as well as modern West Coast psych rock/drone forerunners Wooden Shjips are on the list, plus Idles, Cosmonauts, L.A. Witch, Death Valley Girls, Vinyl Williams, Stonefield, Sugar Candy Mountain, Goon, and The Mad Walls are now joining the crowded bill. As usual, it’s gonna be difficult to choose between all these options.
The schedule for each day was also announced, and Tame Impala will headline Friday night, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard will be Saturday night’s kings whereas My Bloody Valentine will close the festival on Sunday night with a deafening final bang. I have this same old feeling, I am not sure I can handle all these bands at once.
Desert Daze promises to be once again a transforming and submersing experience, and three intense days of music and art installations. Plus the festival is environmentally conscious as they are once again teaming up with Non-Profit organization Global Inheritance to educate visitors and reduce the festival footprint. The TRASHed Recycling Store will offer merchandise, sunscreen, refillable bottles, autographed vinyl, and even beer in exchange for any recyclable bottles, cans, cups, and cartons. Of course, sharing a ride to get there is also highly encouraged.
As previously revealed, Desert Daze will be held at a new location, Moreno Beach in Lake Perris, on October 12th-14th. For all the details, you can visit Desert Daze official website and reach the portal for tickets and camping here, but don’t waste any time, tickets are moving exponentially fast.
